Every day is a good day to celebrate the love of your life and Valentine’s Day is known as the season of love. Hence, this is a great opportunity to show your appreciation to your significant other – here are some ideas!

1. Make Each Other A DIY Gift

Aside from the traditional romantic dinner and exchange of gifts, what about gifting something a little more creative and one-of-a-kind, such as creating a handmade gift? DIY gifts could be a nice photo frame, an illustration of your partner, melted chocolates, handmade soap and even candles!

2. Go Trekking

In need for some outdoor activities and fresh air from all the work-from-home activities? Take a scenic trek together and enjoy the beautiful sights our little island can offer – a perfect way to bond while basking in nature.

If you are not keen on trekking by the reservoirs, use our park connectors instead where you can park hop while indulging in various fun and recreational activities.

3. Exchange Love Letters

It is always romantic to write a love letter to your partner. It is personalised and a perfect time to let your partner know what you appreciate and love most about them. This is especially great for partners with “Words of Affirmation” as their love language.

4. Have A Hand For Pottery

Picture the scene from Ghost, starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, and you know even pottery could be a romantic activity to do with your partner. Especially if you are both beginners, it is a great way for both of you to learn a new skill and enjoy each other’s company. At the end of the day, you will be able to bring home your pieces and remember the significance of your piece each time you look at it.

5. Movie Marathon

Cuddle up, folks! Time to bring on the popcorn and get cozy on the couch and binge-watch your favourite movies. A great way to get to know each other’s favourite movies or reminisce your favourite movies together.

6. Prepare Dinner Together

Food is the way to the heart – isn’t this true for everyone? Make dinner an even more memorable one by preparing the meal together where you can learn new recipes or even show off your skills. You will definitely know that the food is made with a whole lot of heart and soul. Alternatively, you may also make this a group event with your friends and have a cook-off and vote which couple cooks the best meals!

7. Dance Your Hearts Out

Get your hearts pumping and body moving by dancing to your favourite tunes. Even if you do not know how to dance, take an online (or physical) dance class or follow a YouTube tutorial! Dancing definitely creates a sweet memory of your time together.

8. Visit The Museum

Get ready for beautiful artworks and deep conversations as both of you relish into each work of art. Learn your likes and dislikes about each piece and discover how both of you interpret things similarly or differently. Whilst you appreciate each work of art, you are also appreciating the best work of art – your significant other. Gotcha! 😜

9. Paint Together

Unleash your creativity together and have fun with colours. Get the equipment needed at the nearest art store and get messy! You could even challenge each other to paint a particular picture and it will feel satisfying to create your own art piece whilst completing (or winning!) a challenge.

10. Make A Scrapbook Of Your Relationship

With everything digitalized, actual photographs are often long forgotten. Gather up photos of your relationship and any meaningful tokens e.g. ticket stubs, receipts and make a beautiful book filled with memories! Use this time to go through each memory and reminisce the good times and reflect on how to be better in your relationship.

At the end of the day, we are simply encouraging you to spend quality time with your significant other.
